Carl Milson

My name is Carl Milson and I am 37 years old. I was born in East Yorkshire and have lived here all my life, being an Old Boy of Beverley Grammar School. I am an optician by trade and currently work in Hull and Hessle. I am married to Emma, a teacher, and we have two sons.

I have been a Hornsea Town Councillor for three years and am currently Deputy Mayor. I am a Governor of Hornsea Nursery School and Acting Chairman of ‘Let’s Go Hornsea’, a local regeneration group. Up until recently, I was a Scout Leader and a member of the Hornsea Resident’s Association Committee.

I stood in North Holderness in the 2007 election and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the residents of North Holderness on the doorstep. Your views and concerns are of the utmost importance to me and I would be proud to take those matters to Council in the East Riding. I moved from Walkington to North Holderness in 2004 as my wife and I consider it the perfect place to bring up our young family, and I want the best not only for them but for your family too.

I am not scared of hard work and if elected will look forward to working with and for you to promote and protect the many and varied interests of the Ward.

We do live in an area with a high reliance on tourism, and we need to seek ways to encourage people to stay here whilst visiting.

I will pursue all routes to improve the experience of North Holderness, seek investment to encourage new business to come to the region with a view to increasing employment and secure future growth for the benefit of future generations.
